LB Smokin Jack — Heir to Halter, Rope & Rodeo Excellence

Elevate your program with a rare opportunity: colts by LB Smokin Jack — a stallion with a proven pedigree that delivers both outstanding conformation and performance potential. While he himself isn’t for sale, his progeny are now available — bred to excel in halter, rope work, barrel racing, and high-stakes rodeo events.

Pedigree You Can Trust
Sired by Ill Smoke Ya, the only AQHA Champion Stallion in Canada recognized for both halter and rope disciplines. His show record includes Supreme Halter wins, Circuit Champion aged stallion titles, national halter/rope placements, and points in multiple AQHA performance events. On the dam side, Quincy Black Bars brings the strong working lines of Dial to the Max, TJ Vandy Miss, and backing from Imperial Leo Feast and Kilomax. Expect conformation that supports athleticism, soundness, and correct structure.

What This Means for His Colts
These young prospects inherit:

  • Correct, clean conformation — strong tops, well-angled shoulders, sturdy legs, well shaped feet, balanced with a natural head and neck set. Built to hold up under pressure.

  • Versatile athletic ability — bred for cow sense, speed, with enough bone to leash down hard, and enough agility to turn, bend, and roll back.

  • Trainability & temperament — temperament is key: responsive, willing to learn, not high-strung — the kind that professionals can mold without breaking energy.

  • Genetic depth for performance & halter — this pedigree works in multiple rings. Whether your focus is in halter, roping, barrel racing, or a mixed performance program, these colts carry useful blood that has proven relevant in Canadian AQHA and rodeo circles.

Ideal Buyers
Perfect for trainers searching for high-calibre stock to develop into 1D contenders, futurity hopefuls, or seasoned rodeo/working horses. For those who demand more, these colts offer substance: structure, athletic ability, and proven lineage.

Our Program

At our farm near Steinbach, Manitoba, our goal is to raise sound, smart, athletic horses that thrive both in the rodeo pen and on the ranch.

We work with Elders Equine Veterinary Clinic to manage our breeding, vaccination, and health programs, and maintain a continuous mineral program from mare to foal. Our colts are raised on open pasture with the broodmare band, learning respect and herd dynamics from day one.
