About this Mare: BK Diamond Lena

Jazz is a bay mare we raised on our farm near Steinbach, Manitoba. She has solid conformation, good bone, and a kind, trainable temperament. As a performance horse, she showed great promise: she won the 5‑Star Futurity in 2021 as a 5‑year‑old and was beginning to post consistent 1D times before a stifle injury in her 6‑year-old year ended her barrel‑racing career. Jazz has now transitioned to being a broodmare, producing two beautiful foals: a black mare named Shakira, which will remain in our breeding program, and a bay colt that has been sold. She combines real performance pedigree, proven athleticism, and a reliable, friendly nature, making her a cornerstone of our breeding program.

About the Sire: Haidalenas War Doc

Jazz is by Haidalenas War Doc, a black stallion foaled in Texas in 1996. He is a grandson of Haidas Little Pep, a Reserve NCHA Open World Champion and influential producer of NCHA/NRHA money‑earners and world champions. Haidalenas War Doc has sired numerous performance horses that competed at the CFR and NFR in team roping and barrel racing. His offspring are known for athletic builds, strong bone, solid feet, and presence in the pen. Jazz inherits from this sire line both physical performance potential and trainable, intelligent temperament.

About the Dam: Two Diamond Eyes

Jazz’s dam, Two Diamond Eyes, was a spicy sorrel mare known for her grit, determination, and strong personality. She passed on courage, drive, and a competitive edge—qualities Jazz displayed in her barrel‑racing career. The combination of Two Diamond Eyes’ fiery spirit and Haidalenas War Doc’s proven performance genetics gives Jazz the perfect mix of heart, athleticism, and trainable disposition, making her an exceptional broodmare producing foals with both talent and temperament.

Our Program

At our farm near Steinbach, Manitoba, our goal is to raise sound, smart, athletic horses that thrive both in the rodeo pen and on the ranch.

We work with Elders Equine Veterinary Clinic to manage our breeding, vaccination, and health programs, and maintain a continuous mineral program from mare to foal. Our colts are raised on open pasture with the broodmare band, learning respect and herd dynamics from day one.
